Bear Grylls Parang

The New Bear Grylls Parang Machete is inspired by a gift that Bear received from tribesman on one of his many adventures. The tribesman took a liking to Bear and gave him a parang style machete which the Gerber Bear Grylls Parang is modeled after. Gerber took the exact blade angle and size, added a beefier steel and replace the wooden handle with an easier to grip rubberized handle.

Stats at a Glance

  • Angled Blade, ideal for chopping and clearing brush
  • High Carbon Steel blade
  • Full Tang Construction
  • Lanyard Cord

The Bear Grylls Parang is a hefty full tang blade that is attached to the handle with two bolts. At the bottom of the handle there is a lanyard for added safety during large chopping tasks.

The angle of the blade is a unique design for a machete and is much more effective than the traditional style straight blade. The angle allows you to exert maximum chopping force and keep your knuckles angled away from the  trees and brush that you are cutting.
